Haul: nail varnish

Hola Dalimoos

I was in superdrug the other day as I needed to get some cotton wool pads and 'came across' the make up aisle! I wasn't going to buy anything, that was until the sparkle dazzled me!!

Now I don't know if it is just me but December is a sparkly month and I go crazy for glitter and when I saw these I had to pick them up!

I have a couple of big nights planned this month and these fake press on nails are so divine I couldn't walk past without putting them in my basket*

L-R: foil flash, woven skyline and knitted gold (Maybelline) Frosted Plum (GOSH)

I also picked up 3 maybelline nail varnishes from the brocades collection.  I was intrigued by the last one from GOSH as it is a matte glitter and is such a pretty colour I can't wait to see what the effect is on my nail being a matte glitter and all!

*since purchasing the fake nails I can say they are a disappointment.  These are press on which isn't too bad but you need to stick the press on pads to the fake nail yourself which is just too much bother before a big night!  They don't stay in for more than five minutes before they ping off!  I won't be using the other pack :(

Anyway my lovelies, until next time

Ciao for now xx

L'oreal Revita Lift Laser Renew Serum

Hola Dalimoos,

I recently bought L'Oreal Revitalift Laser Renew facial serum whilst it was on offer in Boots as I do love serums, they are a great to use before your moisturiser for added hydration and especially now I am in my 30s!

It is a pearliscent creamy gel and one pump is more than enough to do your whole face.  It is sinks in beautifully and leaves your face feels so soft after, if you don't have seriously dry face I say you could possibly get away with actually using this as a moisturiser too - 2 in 1!

I really love this product and even though it is expensive to buy when it is not on offer I would purchase it again.

Anyway my lovelies...until next time

No 7 Beautiful Skin Hydrating mask

Hola Dalimoos,

As most of you are aware I have been using Roaccutane for the last six months (yes I am in the process of doing a blog post!) and my skin has been extremely dry.  I had a voucher for £5 off for any No7 skincare/make up product so thought I would use that and this caught my eye and as I need real moisture put into my skin these days I thought I would try it.

It is whipped with cream and a gel but when it is pumped it is mixed to a pale/creamy coloured cream.

Once you have cleansed and dried your face you apply a thick layer all over your face and leave it for up to 10 minutes.  It starts to sink in then once your time is up you wipe it off with some tissue or cotton wool and then rinse the excess.

When I first put this on to my face it tingles but that passes after 30 seconds or so.

It does sink in pretty well with only a little excess.  I personally find that even once you have rinsed and dried your face I feel I have a residue left on my face but my face does feel soft and moisturised.

I don't love this product but I do like it.  It does what it says but its the feeling of film on my face that actually puts me off.  I still use it once a week as I do not like to waste product if I can help it!

You can buy this for £12.50 from Boots

Anyway my lovelies, until next time

Ciao for now xx

Urban Decay Naked 3

Hola Dalimoo's

I know there is going to be an influx of posts re the coveted newest addition to the Naked family!  But I couldn't help myself I had to share...

The Naked 1 was a gold based shadows, the Naked 2 was a Taupe based shadows and the newest edition is more your rose/pink based shadows.  I personally love the look of the shadows first hand and can't wait to have a play around with them.

I do now have all the palettes in the series and on first view I think I will love Naked 3 just as much as I love Naked 1.  Don't get me wrong I do love Naked 2 but the shadows are cool in tone and I prefer the warmer shades that both Naked 1 and 3 offer.

In the palette you get a double ended shadow brush and you also get samples of their infamous primer potion.  I already own the original and love it so can't wait to try the others in the series.

I have swatched them quickly on the side of arm and my first impresion is the first 4 are not as pigmented as the rest, but we will see when I use them properly what the pay off actually is.

LtoR: Strange; Dust; Burnout; and Limit

LtoR: Buzz; Trick; and Nooner

LtoR: Liar; Factory; Mugshot; Darkside; and Blackheart

I seem to favour the more shimmery shades than the matte ones but my absolute fav seems to be blackheart which is black with a purple/pink shimmer running through it.

Anyway going to go and have a proper play...

Until next time,

Ciao for now xx

Lancôme beauty bag

Hola Dalimoo's

Recently BritishBeautyBlogger did a post on the Lancôme gift set on promotion at Selfridges.  If you spent £30 you could get the gift set for £50 BUT the Selfridge's website waived the £30 minimum spend so you could get the set for the original £50 saving yourself £30.  Obviously I was on that...

In the set you got:

Fulls size Bi Facil 125ml, Galateis Doucuer 50ml, Tonique Douceur 50ml Advanced Genifique 7ml, Hydra Zen Day Cream SPF15 15ml and La vie est Belle fragrance 4ml

Full size exclusive Christmas eye shadow palette, Full size blush Subtil in 02 Rose Sable, Le Crayon Khol in Black, Rouge in Love lipstick (sample), Gloss in Love 4.5ml, Hypnose Drama Mascara and Hypnose Mascara.

I have used everything in this gift set, I am not too keen on their make up remover/toner though but everything else I do love.  When I have used the eyeshadows/blush set I have had quite a few compliments which is always a good thing...right?!

I would definitely recommend you trying to get your hands on this if you can as you are getting yourself a real bargain!  I am so glad I got it and its given me an insight of what other products Lancome have to offer.

This is why I love Christmas...

Anyway my lovelies,

Until next time....Ciao for now xx

Week 5: Christmas Accessory

Hola Dalimoo's,

So this is the fifth week of the #Thewinterproject and this week it is about favourite Christmas accessories.

When I think of accessories I think of Christmas hats and silly Christmas Jumpers.  I love the run up to Christmas and since having children the inner child in me makes an appearance each year.

This year I have two hats and two jumpers!

I have already worn my first Christmas jumper of the year and this was to get into character at work to pick the names for the secret Santa (apparently being vertically challenged has its benefits!) it was £18 from Peacocks but got it for £14 as they were having a 20% discount in store the day I bought it.

Excuse the lame pose...
I forgot to put the hat on when I took the picture so this is what the hat looks like:

Bought for £1 from poundland

The second jumper I have for this year I will also be wearing to work on Friday 13 December as it is National Christmas Jumper day for Save the Children and with this I have a sequin Santa hat! I got this jumper from Next for £28.

Again £1 from poundland
This is my favourite accessory for Christmas!  I decided for a not so serious post this week, I hope you enjoyed it.  I can't wait to read all your posts on what your Christmas Accessory is.

Until next time my lovelies...

Ciao for now xx

Week 4: Christmas Gift Guide

Hola Dalimoos,

Well this week on the #thewinterproject it is the countdown to Christmas and the first week of the countdown is a gift guide.

My personal life is really getting in the way at the moment and I just haven't had time to give my blog any love.  I know it is an excuse I give every week, but hands off to those that have busy lives and can still manage to blog every other day etc...

So as a consolation I will give you some links to a few of the other lovely ladies doing the #thewinterproject and go over and have a look at their blogs, please tell them I sent you over...

yummy2010mummy.blogspot.co.uk
bold95beauty.blogspot.co.uk
ohhval.blogspot.co.uk

Here are three that I enjoyed this week, when I get some more links I will of course come back and edit the post...

Until next week my lovelies...
